Duck on algae clad pond at Riverdale Farm June 18 2004

June22/03
Has anyone seen the Cardinals frequenting the Carlton, Ontario St. Seaton St. to Gerrard area? Let us know if you have seen them. We have only spotted a large beautiful male, but figure there has to be a female around somewhere. We'd love to hear where you might have spotted a cardinal in Cabbagetown this summer.

June 23 - A cardinal was heard singing in the early morning at Ontario & Carlton by: Bill Mcd.

June 25/03 The male was seen at the Cosmo Cafe Patio at Carlton & Ontario
by: MKB, Spruce St.

Send us your sightings of wild life and wild plants. We'd especially like to hear of unusual sightings or unusual encounters, but the more mundane is okay too. Do we have any foxes in the area? What bird visitors do we get?  I promise that my ramblings will be replaced by YOUR observations and notes on the creatures you have encountered in the Cabbagetown area. What unusual plants are here? Has anyone spotted endangered species? Tell, tell all. Squirrel on a headstone in the Necropolos cemetery June 2004
