Cabbagetown is within easy walking distance of the Toronto
Downtown core. From Parliament and Carlton you can walk to Yonge
Street (Toronto's main street) in approximately 10 minutes. If you walk
along Gerrard Street the distance is the same as above and you
will end up on Yonge Street close to the Eaton Centre, walk a
little further to University Avenue and you are in the area where
most of Toronto's hospitals are situated.
You can also easily and quickly get downtown taking the Carlton/College
Streetcar going west (24 hour service). The same streetcar can
also drop you by Kensington Market another old and interesting
neighbourhood. If you take the Carlton/College car going west you
will be at Toronto's High Park.
A taxi ride to downtown, depending on exactly where you are heading,
can be as little as $5,- to $10,- |
