GETTING TO CABBAGETOWN AND AROUND IN TORONTO

Most of Toronto's Streets Run North/South or East/West many though not all streets are divided by West and East at Yonge Street (The main street in Toronto) So that there are Queen Street East and Queen Street West with the numbers in each direction starting at Yonge St., the same for King St., Dundas and others.

WALKING From Downtown Toronto - Cabbagetown, (of which this site is mainly concerned) is east of Yonge St. -  you can get to Cabbagetown by walking east from Yonge St. on *Carlton St. or Gerrard St. East or Wellesley St. East - You will pass these main intersections: Church Street, then Jarvis Street, then Sherbourne, once past Sherbourne you are entering Cabbagetown, though the next intersection, Parliament St., is basically the "heart" of the business neighbourhood of Cabbagetown, with restaurants etc. - From here the side streets and residential neighbourhoods spread out and it is on these streets you will see the Victorian homes.

  4. Subway to College Station (at Young/College/Carlton), then the College car east along Carlton to Parliament Street.

Driving: (metered parking on the main streets, some parking may be available on the main streets, there are also parking lots, look for the P signs.)

  1. From the 401 Express Way take the Don Valley Parkway South to River St. Exit, turn Right on Gerrard, then right on Parliament St.
