Walk
through Cabbagetown and discover stately Victorian
homes and quiet narrow lanes with small cottages and lush
gardens.
Cabbagetown is a place where people take pride in living,
and pride in friendliness and a bit of eccentricity, (where
else might you find a working farm in the middle of a mega
city, or a wacky kids' play being performed in the
Necropolis chapel?) The Arts thrive in Cabbagetown as is
evident at the large outdoor art show and sale during the
yearly Cabbagetown Festival and the artists displayed at the
"Here & Now Gallery". |

Close
to downtown Toronto, Cabbagetown also offers tranquil walks in
Riverdale Park, the Farm and along the Don River.

Cabbagetown
is
also a place of
restaurants and cafés with fares from
Mexico to New Zealand, France to India. A place of outdoor patios,
on the street or hidden. The friendly pubs and bars
are where locals meet, visitors find new
friends and former Cabbagetowners stop by now and then to touch
base with old friends. "Once a Cabbagetowner always a
Cabbagetowner" is an oft heard phrase.
